(Old English) AEROBICS
Written in December when we were at our old flat.

AT 6AM we rise and go off to do aerobics from about 6.30 to 7.10. It is very interesting and you dance about to a myriad of records spun by an Indian DJ. Below is a typical track listing rotated three times during the session.

The style is definitely Carry on Camping. Any stretching must include bouncing and most exercises consist of flaying your arms about and expanding your chest. Touching toes and stuff like that. GREAT FUN and very aerobic, especially in the heat they have here.

Track listing (18/12/02):

  • Daddy Cool - Boney M
  • Let's Go Barbie - Aqua
  • Rice and Curry - Doctor Bombay
  • 5, 6, 7, 8... - STEPS
  • Dr. Bombay - Doctor Bombay
  • ABBA Medley - ABBA Impersonators
  • On Your Marks...  - Jive Bunny
  • Serious as Cancer, when I say Rhythm is a Dancer - SNAP
  • another iffy track - STEPS
  • Saturday Night - That Dutch bird who lives in Spain
  • You're My Mate - Right Said Fred

Aerobics is on every morning except Sunday (step included on Tuesday and Friday)...all welcome!

Stepping is all the rage

GYM EQUIPMENT

On Thursdays we are treated to an opportunity to use modern gym equipment manufactured round about 1925. This is coached by an instructor.

State of the art equipment burns the calories. Onlookers are amazed that we actually know how to use these modern contraptions.

I always wondered what they made in Indian prisons, whilst serving 'rigorous imprisonment' sentences.
