This is Mangalore's only colonial style sports and relaxation club. We tried to join back in November but there was too much red tape. We dressed up smart and went to see the Colonel who is the Manager last week (4 June). We groveled and Dave wrote an old English style letter saying what a good contribution we could make to the club. It worked, he has promised we will be accepted in two weeks at the next meeting and we can use the facilities immediately as his guest.

Facilities (highlights):

• Billiards Room.
• Badminton, squash and tennis.
• Colonial style restaurants, including the 'Blue Lagoon' - with water garden (with 15 turtles and some fish).
• 25m swimming pool (clean and cool, with starting blocks and lanes etc.).
• Club bar and restaurant with veranda overlooking the pool.
• Green Lawns and landscaping.

Naturally, The husband is THE member and spouses are allowed in at certain times. The terms of membership state that the member's spouse is permitted to use the facilities. But not the billiards room.
