We have secured the use of the Moti Mahal hotel swimming pool on 8 March 2008 to stage a version of the Swimathon. We haven't decided on a  charity yet as we need to think of one that cuts across all the different religions and sectors of society.

• Dave passes his preliminary (theory) Driving Test. 19/12/02

A written test so that I can take Indian style driving lessons. I passed after identifying 11 road signs (including 'bullock carts prohibited'), succeeding in the eye test and answering some rules of the road.

Bloody hell. What can I say. It was like reliving my youth with all the nervousness. I am now a qualified Indian driver. Watch out for my Indian driving when I get back to the UK, It's a better system by the way...
